It’s the holiday season! I just love Boston in the wintertime, when all its residents gear up for the holidays with decorations. The city of Boston sure does its part to get people in the holiday spirit as well, by providing ample opportunities for you to enjoy good company at holiday events all around Boston!
As your Boston Real Estate agent, I want to make sure you don’t miss out on any holiday events coming up in the next couple of weeks. Here is a list to be aware of:
• The Nutcracker will be performed at the Opera House from now until Dec. 31. This annual performance is done by the Boston Ballet! If you haven’t seen it before, now is your chance to enjoy this traditional classic in Boston. Tickets start at $35.
• Beginning Dec. 16, the Franklin Park Zoo will be opened nightly for Zoolights from 5 to 9 p.m. This free, annual lightshow features two million lights, ice carving, Santa and more! This will remain opened each night through Jan 1, except on Dec. 24 and 25, when they are closed.
• If you still need to find some crafty gifts for your loved ones, stop by the Downtown Crossing Holiday Market now through Dec. 24. The local artists and crafters rotate, so even if you visit multiple times, you might find something different! It also features food, holiday treats and Santa from noon to 2 p.m.
• This weekend only, enjoy Candlelight Carols at Trinity Church! Saturday is free, though donations are welcome, and the website suggests getting there early to find a seat! The performance begins at 4 p.m. and includes all of your favorite tunes from the choirs of Trinity Church. A fundraiser for the Candlelight Carols Benefit will take place on Sunday at 4 p.m., with ticket purchase required.
• Just take a walk down the main streets of Boston and surrounding cities! Lights on Main Street is an initiative by the city to encourage local businesses to decorate their windows and shops, and for residents to shop local and vote for their favorite windows! If you haven’t seen any of the action, I highly recommend it.
• Take a break from your warm and cozy home by checking out the ice skating happening at Boston Common Frog Pond! Skates are available to rent, along with concessions, a warming area and numerous special events.

Just like the bustling town, the Boston Real Estate market continues to make its way through the winter season. Now is a great time to buy, with mortgage rates at their lowest, and now is also a great time to sell, with less competition! Check out what’s available on the Boston Real Estate market and give me a call when you’re ready to embark on the your Boston real estate goals.
Happy holidays!
