4th of July Happenings around Boston!

Holidays weekends are always bursting with activities in and around Boston, making this a very exciting time of year! With Fourth of July weekend upon us, summer is in full swing. Just like the summer Boston Real Estate market, there’s never a dull moment come July!

To help you prepare for your Fourth of July weekend in Boston, I did some research and came up with the best activities happening around the city. Whether you enjoy sailing, eating good food, diving into history or watching fireworks, you’re bound to find a holiday event that interests you! In the meantime, I’ll keep working hard as your Boston Real Estate agent, to ensure your utmost success in selling or buying a Boston home.

Boston Harborfest

If you haven’t checked out Boston’s new waterfront, Fan Pier, this is the weekend to do it. Boston Harborfest begins tomorrow, June 30, and extends through July 4. This event is always on the Fourth of July weekend and showcases colonial and maritime culture and heritage in the historic city of Boston!

What does this all entail? Well, the Extreme Sailing Series features eight daily races that take place between 2 and 5 p.m., including 11 international multi-hull sailboats.

Thursday is children’s night, with juggling, music and dance performances geared toward the little ones. A daylong encampment of historic British regiments will be performed July 2, Chowderfest is on July 3 at the City Hall Plaza, and a whole slew of live entertainers will perform throughout the weekend.

Want to avoid the crowds and just enjoy time on the water? Each day, there are numerous options along the harbor, such as whale watch cruises, land and water tours, kayaking with a ranger, sunset sails and rum tasting aboard a ship!

Entertaining out-of-town visitors? Want to get to know the city you live in or just moved to? Tons of tours and performances are available this weekend that dive deep into Boston’s history. From tours of the flower and herb gardens behind the 1713 Clough House, Boston’s oldest brick residence, to faux preparation for life at sea during the War of 1812 at the USS Constitution Museum, you’ll have no problem choosing an event from the list.

4th of July 80’s and 90’s Cruise

On July 4th, don’t miss the biggest party of the year in Boston, taking place on the water! Join other party animals on the 80’s and 90’s July 4th Cruise, with tunes from those decades playing all night long! Tickets cost $32 in advance and $40 at the dock. Boarding begins at 7 p.m. on Monday at Long Wharf, gate two. Once on the ship, enjoy dancing, food, cocktails and company. Then, once the fireworks begin, you’ll have the best seat in town.

Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular

If you’d rather watch a fireworks show on land, come join thousands of other Boston residents and visitors at the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular, which is a free event that encompasses live entertainment, fireworks and fun! Enjoy music by the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, with conductor Keith Lockhart and special guest Lionel Richie, and then sit back on a blanket or lounge chair for the fireworks extravaganza. No better way to conclude a holiday weekend than with fireworks, right?

With so much happening around the city of Boston this weekend, I wish all of you a safe and wonderful holiday weekend! Afterward, I’ll be here to pick up where we left off and help you succeed in buying a Boston home or selling your Boston home. I never take a day off as your Boston Real Estate agent! Happy Fourth of July!
