It’s officially fall in Boston, MA now! As your Boston real estate agent, I’d like to help you celebrate the new season with a list of free
events happening around Boston this weekend. Who ever said that you need to
spend money to have fun? Save your money for a down payment, for when you’re
ready to buy a Boston home, and enjoy these free events!
1. Museum Day Live! is coming up this Saturday, Sept. 27. This event
allows you access to a bunch of museums throughout the country. Here in Boston,
you can enjoy the Museum of Fine Arts, Old South Meeting House, Peabody Museum
of Archaeology and Ethnology at Harvard, and many
others! Just download a ticket online, which is good for you and a guest.
2. The Berklee Beantown Jazz Festival is this Saturday, Sept.
27, from noon to 6 p.m. on Columbus Avenue, between Burke St. and Mass. Ave.
The fest will have three stages and will highlight contemporary jazz, Latin,
blues and soul music. There will also be inflatables and a petting zoo for
kids, food vendors and more. The fest has had more than 80,000 attendees in the
past, don't miss out!
3. Enjoy a free workout by participating in the November Project. This is a fitness organization born in Boston that hosts workouts every
Monday, Wednesday and Friday for free! The locations vary, so you must keep up
with the blog, Facebook page or Twitter page to see where they will meet that
day. The workouts take place at 6:30 a.m., so set your alarm early and meet
other Bostonians while enjoying a free workout.
4. If you love art, you’ll love the Greenway Open Market that
takes place every Saturday! Check it out this weekend at Rose Kennedy Greenway,
from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The market features local artists, crafters and
independent designers, with exhibits of handmade and locally produced products.
From art, jewelry, ceramics and crafts, to apparel, accessories and
eco-friendly imports, you’re sure to find something you can admire! It only runs through October!
5. If you don’t mind taking a drive, head to Waltham Fields
Community Farm for their annual Free Farm Day! This will get your whole family
in the spirit of fall, with carrot harvesting, pumpkin bowling, farm-fresh
recipe samples, tractor climbing, art activities, music, environmental games
and more. It takes place this Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m.!
