Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Boston!

New Year’s Eve is only two weeks away here in Boston! Now is the time to start planning and purchasing tickets to the party or gathering that you would most like to attend for the big celebration. As your Boston real estate agent, I’ve put together a list of some of the most popular NYE parties in Boston, so you can plan accordingly. Don’t wait until the last minute, everything might be sold out!

1.  For $125, you can purchase the Boston All Access Pass that is good on Dec. 31 from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. This gets you into five of Boston’s hottest NYE parties, so you don’t have to choose just one! Hop around until you find the crowd you enjoy most. It’ll get you into Gem, Guilt, Royale, The Estate and Underbar.

2.  For only $10, you can join Boston’s NYW Crawl ‘Til The Ball Falls from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Register for the bar crawl at Tia’s anytime between 5 and 9 p.m. There you will receive a cup, wristband and crawl map. You and your group can crawl at your own pace. The ticket gets you admission into each participating bar.

3.  Take a dinner cruise and enjoy the New Year’s Eve fireworks from the water! Cruise includes a champagne toast at midnight, dinner, drinks, music and dancing. The Odyssey cruise boards at 8 p.m. and cruises from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Price is $179.90 per person. Spirit Cruises also has a Fireworks Dinner Cruise for $149.90 per person, with the same timeline.

4.  Celebrate the end of 2014 with the Boston Pops on New Year’s Eve, beginning at 10 p.m. The Boston Pops Swing Orchestra and bandleader extraordinaire Bo Winiker will perform at Pops Symphony Hall. Doors open at 8 p.m. and numerous dining options will be available, as well as a cash bar. The Symphony CafĂ© will open at 7:30 p.m. and will include a $65 dining option. Then dance the night away!

5.  If you’re looking for a New Year’s Eve celebration for the whole family to enjoy, check out First Night Boston! This begins at 1 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and continues until midnight. All you have to do is buy a button that allows you to participate in all the activities and entertainment of this family-friendly, alcohol-free event. It includes two fireworks shows, a huge parade, live musical performances, ice sculptures, a puppet festival and so much more. More than one million people usually show up to this event, so buy your button and don’t miss out!

Boston NYE Events

Ah, isn’t this really the most wonderful time of year in Boston? Hopefully you all had an incredible holiday weekend filled with joy and laughter with your loved ones. Now, all of Boston’s kids are busy playing with their new toys from Santa, while Boston’s adults are switching gears to New Year’s Eve.

It’s always so great that just when you feel blue about the holidays being over, you remember you still have another weekend of celebrating coming up! It’s a weekend to de-stress from holiday hosting and shopping, to leave this past year behind and start anew, and to find the best party in Boston.

Luckily, you have me, your Boston Real Estate agent, here to make sure you find that Boston New Year’s Eve party that suits you most. From balls to bonanzas, to parties geared toward kids, it won’t be hard for you to find a party around the city.

New Year’s Eve Gala

The New Year’s Eve Gala at the Hyatt Regency downtown Boston is for those of you who want to get decked out in a new shimmery new year’s outfit and go all out on the town. This event calls itself Boston’s number one hotel party, with 900 tickets sold for good times in the ballroom. It includes 12 bars, a champagne toast at midnight, a choice of five hors d’oeuvres, DJs, dancing and even a red carpet to walk in on. Registration begins at 9 p.m. and the party ensues from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. It’s for 21 and up and tickets are only available until 900 have been sold.

Spirit of Boston

For a fancy event that offers plenty of fresh air, purchase a ticket for the dinner and dancing cruise on the Spirit of Boston! This includes a full buffet, a DJ and dancing music, New Year’s decorations, a champagne toast at midnight and a great view of Boston’s notorious fireworks display! This cruise boards on Saturday night at 8 p.m. and then sails out from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Boston Fireworks

If you’d rather keep things simple and spontaneous, stroll the Boston streets with your sweetheart or group while bundled up in winter gear. At midnight, the skies above Boston Harbor transform as fireworks fill the sky. It’s free to watch and for all ages to enjoy.

Liberty Hotel Party

It’s not every day that you get to attend a party called “On Top of the Liberty.” This party takes place on all levels of The Liberty Hotel and includes music, cocktails, dancing and even aerial performers. Doors open at 8 p.m. and close at 11 p.m., giving you plenty of time to go out and enjoy the fireworks, get a good night sleep or find an after party.

Kids Party

For the kids, bring them out to the Wenham Museum for a fun-filled event made just for them. It begins at 10 a.m. on New Year’s Eve with “A Toy Soldiers Magic Show” at 10:30 and 11:15 a.m., face painting, balloon artists and a countdown to faux midnight at noon. Watch then enjoy their midnight toast with ginger ale and noisemakers!

70’s Soiree

Not into the classy, fancy shindigs? Check out the 70’s soiree happening at Jerry Remy’s Sports Bar & Grill. This party encourages you to dress in your best disco attire, because the most outrageous outfit receives a $100 gift card and a trip to Vegas. There will be a mix of disco classics and today’s hottest hits. Price is only $25 per person with open bar 8-10 p.m. and buffet from 9:30-10:30 p.m.

After you choose the New Year’s Eve party that screams your name, go out and greet 2012 with style. You have all of Sunday and Monday to relax, recover and ponder your New Year’s Resolutions.

Once you come up with a couple resolutions, share them with me, your Boston Real Estate agent! Would you like to buy a Boston home in 2012? Would you like to sell your Boston home? Would you like to search the Boston Real Estate market to see if now is the right to get involved?
