Memorial Day is over, people are wearing white and air
conditioners have been turned on and tested. It is officially the summer season
in Boston! What are your summer plans? Do you plan on buying a Boston home or
selling your Boston home?
Conditions are great for both! Home sales and home prices increased in April to levels higher than what we’ve seen in years. The summer is always a busy time for the Boston Real Estate market, so don’t wait to get involved! Contact me, your Boston Real Estate agent, when you’re ready to start the process!

Aside from buying and selling real estate in Boston, there are tons of festivals, concerts, performances and more to fill up your summer schedule. To help you out, here are five fun events occurring in the month of June that you should be aware of:
- First Fridays are back at the Museum of Fine Arts! This Friday, June 1, kicks off the beginning of these fun, festive nights for those ages 21 and up. From 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., you can join other art enthusiasts in the Koch Gallery for art, live music, cash bars and tapas available for purchase. Raffle prizes will be given each Friday. Admission is free with membership; otherwise, a museum admission ticket is required.
- The Boston Opera House will host the national tour of Beauty and the Beast! Performances began yesterday and only run through June 3, so don’t delay in purchasing tickets for this renowned masterpiece. Be a guest during the show as you watch a young prince find his way back from a cruel, beastly spell while falling in love with a sweet girl from town. It’s a great afternoon or evening out for the whole family!
- Register for the 10th anniversary of NSTAR’s Walk for Children’s Hospital Boston on June 10. Thousands of Bostonians come together each year for a two-mile or seven-mile stroll along the Charles River. You can also enjoy crafts, music, games, food and more, while meeting celebrities and athletes! The price for adults is only $25 to participate, with a $150 fundraising minimum. Kids 12 and under cost $5.
- On June 15, join 1,000 others who like to party on one of the biggest boat parties of the year. Barstool Sports will host a Summer Kickoff Cruise on the Provincetown II, a cruise ship with three floors and DJ’s on each floor! With music, drinks and more, you can’t go wrong, and especially not with a boarding cost of only $20! Boarding will take place at 7 p.m. and the cruise will party from 8 to 11 p.m.
- June 22-24, visit Falmouth and the Upper Cape for the Arts Alive Festival! This three-day fest will bring over 60 performers to the stage, encompassing all forms of art, including theater, spoken word, dance and music. The music will feature jazz, classical, folk and a special rock fest Saturday night. Artists and crafters will display their prized goods for sale. Oh, and did I mention the whole fest is free to enjoy? Definitely mark this one on your Boston summer calendar.
