6 Valentine’s Day Events in Boston, MA This February!

Now that it’s February here in Boston, MA, I feel like the only thing getting us through the snow and cold is the idea that Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! After that, spring will hopefully start gracing us with its presence in small, subtle ways. Let’s hope!

As your Boston real estate agent, I love to know that Boston residents are enjoying this great city and all that is has to offer. That’s why I put together a list of Boston events happening each month on my website. Today, though, I’d like to solely focus on events and activities happening for the most loved and hated holiday of the year.

Whether you have a special someone to celebrate with, or you’re celebrating being single and loving chocolate, wine and flowers, there is something for everyone to enjoy this year for Valentine’s Day!

1.  Are you single but wishing you had someone to spend Valentine’s Day with? Check out First Fridays at the Museum of Fine Arts! This month’s First Friday is called “Cupid’s Arrow” and will include a DJ and a special love potion cocktail from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Tapas, art and more also included. Get your tickets!

2.  Get in the romantic spirit with a classic film. Casablanca will play at the Brattle Theatre in Cambridge from Feb. 13 to Feb. 15, where you can watch the old-fashioned love story between Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman. Murals from the movie can be viewed at the theater as well. Afterward, head to Burdick’s down the street for their famous hot chocolate!

3.  Head to the Boston Wine School on Friday, Feb. 14, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. for the special Valentine’s Day wine pairings! The In Love with Wine and Chocolate class and dinner includes a sophisticated three-course dinner, five chocolate tastings and wine pairings. It’ll be the tastiest Valentine’s Day you’ve ever had!

4.  On Friday, Feb. 14, take your date to Hampshire House on Beacon Hill for Dining in the Dark! You will enjoy a four-course dinner, accompanied by stirring music, all done in total darkness. It’s said to be half dining, half theater, and you and your date are among the actors. It’ll be unforgettable, that’s for sure!

5.  There are always the ever-romantic Valentine’s Day dinner cruises on Boston Harbor to enjoy for Valentine’s Day. Odyssey offers special cruises that include an elegant dinner, champagne, live music, a dance floor and plenty of fabulous sights of Boston, MA from the boat!

6.  The Boston Wine Festival is up and running from now through early April, but on Feb. 15 is a special Valentine’s Day event! Enjoy a Champagne Dinner Dance, featuring live music, dancing and elegant, gourmet food pairings with champagne from Moet Chandon.

Plenty of Boston restaurants are featuring special Valentine’s Day menus and music, and numerous Boston hotels have Valentine’s packages. You’re sure to find some way to celebrate this holiday in Boston, MA as a way to split up the winter season!
